In cooperation with International Mission Board (IMB), One Sending Body is offering a free online course, EXPLORE MISSIONS.

Participants, especially those who are new to missions, will have an overview of the mission of God from the Old Testament up to the New Testament, and how it continues in the present time towards the future. This course can also be a refresher for those already involved in missions.

This study has 6 units with five daily lessons. Every week, there will be 2 hours of Zoom discussions and/or interactions about the daily lessons in the unit being studied. Daily lessons are not long and 2 hours of Zoom discussions will pass without even realizing it.

The first batch finished the course on June 6. We have three classes currently going on facilitated by Steve Hagen and many more being facilitated by graduates of the first batch:

  • In Laguna by Nina Cuevas among women leaders
  • In Lagro, QC by Ptr. Bong Garvez among his church core
  • In Balanga, Bataan by Rizzy Cortez among the youth
  • In Maria, Aurora by Ptr Ghaz Rodriguez among pastors and workers of the association
  • In Tarlac at Sta. Ignacia Baptist Church by Ptr Mon Boniol among church leaders

This course is designed to demonstrate the mission of God and how he purposes the people of God to join him in his redemptive plan.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Explore Mission course is an introduction for people who want to learn more about the mission of God. Our goal is to do more than simply inform you. We want the word of God and the lostness of the world to change the way you think, the way you feel, and what you do.

Throughout this course, you will observe the mission of God through the Bible, learn how Jesus taught us to worship God and make disciples, discover what a missionary does, receive an overview of the history of mission and how we play a vital role in that history, and explore ways you can live on mission in the world today.

God gave us a mission we are to carry out in the world through the church and this course is designed to help you explore and understand that mission.
